How to install on iPhone

Before you start

• Make sure your iPhone is eSIM-compatible (iPhone XS or later, including SE 3rd gen).
• Connect to Wi-Fi.
• We recommend installing before you travel so you're ready on arrival.

Installation steps

1. In the Guac app, go to Open the eSIM > Install > Install Now.
2. Follow the on-screen prompts to download the eSIM profile.
3. Label the new plan (e.g. "Travel Data") so you can identify it easily.

Installing from Guac hands the profile straight to iOS, so there is nothing to type and no QR code to scan.

If the in-app install does not finish

The QR code and the manual details live under Open the eSIM > Install > Other ways to install > QR Code > Manual Entry. Add them on the device under Settings > Cellular > Add eSIM.

At your destination

1. Go to Settings > Cellular.
2. Tap your travel eSIM plan.
3. Turn on Data Roaming.
4. Set it as your primary data line.

Your eSIM will connect to a local network automatically.

Troubleshooting

If data is not working after activation, try:

• Toggle Airplane Mode on and off.
• Restart your phone.
• Check that the eSIM (not your home SIM) is selected for cellular data.
