Carrier unlock requirement

Your phone must be carrier-unlocked to use a travel eSIM.

  • If you bought your phone outright (full price), it's likely already unlocked.
  • If you got it through a carrier on a payment plan, contact your carrier to request an unlock.

How to check

  • iPhone: Go to Settings > General > About. Look for "No SIM restrictions" under Carrier Lock.
  • Android: Try Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs. If you see an option to add an eSIM, your phone supports it.
